Is Jennifer Aniston Looking into Adopting Baby as Single Mom?, Pregnancy rumors have swirled around Jennifer Aniston for a while now, but she was just spotted drinking dirty martinis over the weekend so she's probably not expecting. But that isn't stopping the tabloids from claiming motherhood is just around the corner for the Friends star.
Because Jennifer is facing "the disappointing possibility that Justin Theroux is more of a Mr. Right Now than a Mr. Right, " she has "fast-tracked her plan to have a baby -- and is looking into adopting a child as a single mom, " In Touch (via Gossip Cop) is reporting.
"Jennifer feels that at her age, she can't wait until Justin comes around to the idea of starting a family, "a "close friend" tells the mag. "She's looking seriously into adoption and has met with some agencies through her friends' referrals [editor's note: is one of those referrals from Angelina Jolie? ]. "
If this report were true -- and a rep for the Emmy winner tells Gossip Cop that it's not -- it's probably for the best that Jennifer's not thinking of having kids with Justin. After all, if he abruptly walked out on his live-in girlfriend of 14 years, Heidi Bivens, he probably wouldn't have any qualms about leaving a child, either. (Plus, given Jennifer's sketchy history of "romancing" her costars to publicize her movies and the fact that Wanderlust is coming out next month, their relationship probably isn't going to last much longer, anyway. )
But at this point, it's doubtful Jennifer even wants kids. Sure, she said when she and Brad Pitt split up that she wants a family one day. But a couple of months ago she said she feels "no desperation" to have a baby and is "at peace with whatever the plan is, " which doesn't sound like a 42-year-old whose biological clock is ticking. She's probably enjoying being an unencumbered, successful single lady who can do whatever she wants. So it's not surprising that an adoption isn't in the works.
