This is the first basic Batman figure we've received in the Arkham City line From DC Collectibles (formerly DC Direct). In the first series we got an infected and unmasked Batman/ Bruce Wayne and the second series gace us the novelty "Detective Mode" version, so it is nice to finally have a basic Bats from the game. Overall, you're going to find that other than paint differences and a different head, this is pretty much the same figure as the previously two. Still, it isn't a bad figure, but it has a few weak points. Here are my thoughts:The Facts: Articulation: Ball jointed head, peg/hinge shoulders, hinged elbows, forearm swivels, swivel thighs, hinged knees, lower leg swivels. Accessories: Explosive gel dispenser.The Positives:*The paint work is excellent. The lines are all very clean where it counts, but he does have a somewhat rough and realistic look reminiscent of the "Arkham" style.*The sculpting of the armor is good, just like on the last Batman figures in the series. The spikes on his gauntlets are excellent and had no bending or warping from being in the package. The armored bits of Batman's costume look really nice.*I love that we get a game specific accessory with this figure. With each new release, we're getting a nice arsenal of ingame devices.The Negatives:*I'm not a fan of the head sculpt. It doesn't seem to match the ingame model which, for a figure based on the video game, isn't too good. I can't put a finger on it, but the head just seems off to me.*Like most of wave 2, wave 3 figurescome with no stands. DC Direct/ Collectibles has always stood out by putting stands, often very nice line specific stands, with their figures. Some of these figures have trouble standing, so I'm definitely miffed by this.*Batman has a few points of articulation, but most of them are not particularly useful. Really, the only real pose to put him in his standing straight up and doing something with his accessory. Without better hip articulation, lower leg articulation really doesn't mean anything. I'm almost at the point where I wish DC Collectibles would cut back on some of the articulation, include a stand, and perhaps drop the price a bit.Overall: I love Batman, as he's my favorite superheroand always a fun character. The Arkham redesigns are definitely some of my favorites, but there are just some issues here that bug me, mainly the off head sculpt and the useless articulation. Add to the fact that we've seen this sculpt before and I have a hard time getting too excited. I definitely wanted this Batman for my collection, but he could have been better.
